Greeter Training Seminar

May 11, 2024

On May 11, 2024, we hosted a Greeter Training Seminar focused on equipping church greeters with the tools and knowledge needed to create a warm and welcoming environment for all who enter. The seminar covered essential topics such as effective communication, the importance of first impressions, and how to handle various situations with grace and kindness. Spirit of David Award

The Spirit of David Award recognized five high school seniors who exemplify exceptional leadership and service. 

The next award ceremony is scheduled for this fall.

This event is designed to bring together women in ministry from all backgrounds and denominations for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and inspiration. Prepare to be uplifted and encouraged as we welcome keynote speakers who will share their personal journeys and insights on how to navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of ministry as a woman.

Order of the Towel

2016-2023

The Order of the Towel recognizes Christian Leaders who follow Christ’s example of washing His disciples’ feet. By His actions we see that strong leadership is finest when it serves from a heart of love with humility.

Casting the Vision Workshop

With Dr. Gary Brandenburg

On October 19, 2021 at Grace Community Church, Dr. Gary Brandenburg encouraged those in attendance regarding the vision of the church. With stories and teachings that brought both laughter and tears, he spoke in such a way that made his teaching both easy to understand and remember.

Burnout and Depression Workshop

Often Pastors feel the pressures of Shepherding their flock. The Shepherd devotedly tends to his flock, but who tends to the Shepherd? What can be done to help the struggling Shepherd grow through difficulties without stumbling or forsaking his or her ministry?

Dr. Ron Wells spoke regarding this, giving much needed encouragement and advice to those in attendance. 

Bricks & Mortar Event

Our Bricks & Mortar event seeks to bring together our community for a time of worship, fellowship, encouragement and communion.

Hispanic Pastor's Conference

July 10, 2021 will go down as a banner day for Shepherd’s Heart Ministry and  Encouragement Group (KVNE and FuziĂłn Radio) as Pastor’s gathered from throughout East Texas for this wonderful event!

Blue Shield of Compassion 2019

Shepherd’s Heart Ministry teamed up with several East Texas law enforcement agencies, including sheriff’s offices in Gregg and Upshur counties, to give out 10,000 blankets to people in need.

Through the program, police officers distributed the blankets to those that they met in the field, such as families without heating in their homes or people seeking help from homeless shelters.

Revitalization of Patriotism 2017

On September 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked four airplanes in mid-flight and coordinated the worst attack on american soil since pearl harbor. A total of 2,977 people were killed in New York City, Washington, DC and outside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.Of the 2,977 victims killed in the September 11 attacks, 412 were emergency workers in New York City who responded to the World Trade Center.
We Will Never Forget! On September 11, 2017 Shepherd’s Heart Ministry hosted the first ever Revitalization of Patriotism event in Tyler, Texas to honor 9/11 First Responders and those who have died in the line of duty in Smith County since that day.
