With Dr. Tim Watson of LeTourneau University
Tuesday, June 12, 2012
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Come for an evening focused on the pressures of the pastorate and the heavy emotional load carried by nurturing pastors. Pastoral caring often comes at the expense of the pastor’s own peace of mind. Don’t let feelings of “I can’t take it anymore,” steal the joy of your ministry. Don’t miss it.
Dr. Tim Watson is well-equipped to address the topic of Pastoral Depression. He comes with a unique blend of ministerial and professional experiences. He is special assistant to Dr. Dale Lunsford, president of LeTourneau University, Longview, Texas. He also travels extensively to encourage believers to live out their faith in the workplace.
Watson grew up in Baton Rouge, LA. He earned a BA in Christian Studies from Louisiana College. He attended Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth where he earned both his ThM and his DMin. At the age of 22 he pastored his first church. During 25 additional years in ministry, Watson served as pastor of First Baptist Churches of Decatur, Mart, Canton, and Longview.
